Does Home Protect cover older systems and appliances?
Yes — Home Protect will repair your home's major systems and appliances no matter the age, make or model, provided they are in proper working order at the time of your Agreement effective date. If your systems or appliances are found to have a mechanical failure that is due to a condition that existed prior to the Agreement effective date (closing date), it is possible that part or all of your claim will be denied. For those cases, Home Protect will provide up to a 15% discount if you choose to use a Home Protect Home Warranty service professional, where available, as well as up to 30% discount towards the purchase of a brand new appliance.
What if I have new appliances... do I still need Home Protect?
YES. Remember, Home Protect covers your air conditioning, heating, electrical and plumbing systems. Something could go wrong at any moment. You're protected with Home Protect.
